European Commission and top railway managers in international workshop in Lisbon to discuss PPP and Portuguese High Speed Rail Project
The European Commission and RAVE are hosting in Lisbon, on 28th and 29th of January, a workshop on the Portuguese High Speed Rail project to be implemented trough a PPP.
The workshop is intended as an exchange of experience between RAVE and other similar infrastructure projects, in particular High Speed Rail projects, already operational or in a preliminary phase.
The event is endorsed by high level delegations of many countries in and outside the European Union (Spain, France, Italy, Sweden, Brazil and Russia) including senior managers from rail organisations, financiers, experts and policy makers.
The Portuguese business model for high speed is considered by many as a new way forward in the provision of infrastructure.
The workshop was developed in close collaboration with the European Commission and the European Investment Bank (EIB).
